3.5 stars. The concept and characters are fun. I missed the wonderfully precarious balance between long form story and surrealist departures in Soft X-Ray/Mindhunters.
I’m generally a fan of collision theory with art and film. I’m OK with the onus being on me to fill in part of the story with what the art inspires.
Right now I’m too tired to make up my own story. My preference is to read one, not think of one. Maybe I’ll revisit this book when I’m in a different headspace.
