Review copy: Digital ARC via Netgalley

This was a fun rom-com that was pretty perfect for a summer day. It’s great to see a grandmother/granddaughter relationship in a central role. I also just found it adorable to see Milo interacting with the older ladies too.

Some of the situations were a bit predictable or unbelievable, but honestly, in a rom-com, sometimes that’s what feels comfortable and reassuring. That’s often why we grab rom-coms.

It’s a New York adventure with love and movie making drama so it’s definitely entertaining and will inspire smiles.

I felt pretty neutral about this book. I didn't love it, and I didn't hate it. The story was pretty solid, and the characters were well developed, and they learned from their mistakes. Evie was a bit annoying at times, but she also had good reasons to be the way that she was. Her grandma frustrated me a bit, but other than that, this story was pretty good. I don't regret reading it, but I wouldn't be eager to read it again.

"And I swear it wasn’t supposed to be a real kiss. We were just supposed to pretend to kiss so that the photographer wouldn’t see our faces and move on."
Hard to break it to you sweetie but you fell hard.
