Fantastic read! Love the book, the donghua, the manhua, and the audio drama! Omg dont forget about the live action! The story is very thought-provoking and is quite insightful about things that even modern times has trouble with despite it's historical setting. Beautifully thought-out :) now im gonna read MXTX's first novel byeee

it might seem like i’m rushing through the reading process, but the book - the plot just SUCKS you in. i love the depths of each character. i love how lwj was just *TENDERYEARNING* the whole time and he got the ending he deserves. i cried, i laughed, i felt my own heart beat fast along with the characters. it was vivid, it was playful, it was gruesome, it rips your heart out. reading this novel was not a regret in any way!

Literary/writing wise, I don't think this book would be considered a 5-star-read BUT the characters, the plot, and the deliciously thrilling mixture of fantasy, humor, mystery, horror and ofcourse romance; resulted in an overall memorable and enjoyable experience.

It's quite fascinating how the author blurs the lines between the black and the white; how the so called hero and the so called villain can switch places back and force; and the reader cannot help but to sympathize with the both sides.

All in all, this was an epic journey and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

mdzs se convirtió en una de mis novelas favoritas.

Realmente disfruté de principio a fin la fantasía y el romance de esta historia como no tienen idea. Wei Wuxian se convirtió en uno de mis protagonistas favoritos, debido a su personalidad animada y desinteresada. Además, la pareja que hace con Lan Wangji es muy adorable y me encanta como se complementan mutuamente.

Amé la trama, el misterio y los personajes con sus relaciones complicadas y realistas. Una de las cosas que disfrutó más de cualquier obra de ficción es cuando utiliza bien a sus personajes y les una razón en la historia. Salvo algunas excepciones, mxtx hace esto de una manera magnífica e incluso los personajes secundarios son redondos y bastante interesantes.

Estas es la primera obra que leo de la autora y espero pronto leer sus otras novelas.
