easily the best book i've read about formula 1 (about a driver or the sport in general). webber has such a unique perspective and his honesty and genuine reflection on his life were fascinating to read. i honestly could not put this book down. highly, highly recommend.

3.5 rounded up, interesting insight into formula 1 but there was a lot of slating vettel which I wasn't a huge fan of.

I started watching F1 when I was 15 in 2010, and this book definitely gave me a new prespective on how things were behind the scenes back then, and I liked that a lot.
Mark's racing career is definitely book-worthy, with all the ups and downs and twists but I can't help but be disappointed in the writing of this book. It would've been perfectly acceptable if it was in a movie or an interview, but in long-read form the word choice feels like the ghostwriter was trying way too hard to be informal. Maybe all (auto)biographies of athletes are like that, I don't know. This one started so well but then at later moments was just bearable enough to keep reading but I had to make myself do it.

Interesting story, but let down by a slightly annoying writing style. Book felt a little disjointed and seemed to jump around a little. Was a fun look behind a few closed doors but just wasn’t as engaging as other f1 books such as “the mechanic”
