Love love love!

Another great read from this author! Really enjoyed the story and I love series like this one that get you attached to all of the characters. This one was definitely more emotional than the first book in the series, but still a HEA. I could not put this book down, I finished in a single day. Can’t wait to read the next two books of this amazing series ♥️

Noah and Shannon have had crushes on each other for a long as they have known each other but no one is aware. Noah is still a little sore about not being drafted in his draft year he is determined to focus on baseball this season and prove he is worth being drafted. Shannon loves fashion and has dreams of obtaining her fashion degree and the Glamour Project. The only thing standing in her way is her algebra credit. In the need of a tutor, she goes in search of one but the one she gets paired with is her ex. Noah seeing Shannon in tears and inquires into what happened. When she explains her algebra issue Noah offers to help her. Will they be able to keep their feelings hidden or will they surface and cause issues?

Behind the count is a best friend's sibling college baseball romance in the Cessna U Wildcats series. I love a good best friend's sibling story and this one did not disappoint. I was especially interested in this story as it focused on the catcher which is the position I played in baseball. Kimberly Readnour did a great job with the tension and secrecy part you see with this trope. Noah and Shannon's attraction was hot and steamy once they no longer hid it from each other. I felt for both Noah and Shannon with regards to their medical issues and their fears regarding them. This is becoming my favourite trope and this is a must-read series for those who love baseball romances. Next up is Full Count and I can not wait to see what happens with Garret and Lexie and find out why Garret is so secretive.

Hello everyone! My review series on "Behind the Count" is up on my Instagram book account @bookwhoreforever! I hope you guys enjoy it!

First and foremost, I LOVE NOAH AND SHANNON. It's so obvious how they are literally meant for each other and the way Kimberly writes their development is amazing! My favorite thing about this is how mature they are in situations facing their relationships. In most college books, the relationship problems are mostly from childish behaviors, however Shannon and Noah both deal with real-life problems. Also, Shannon is such a likable heroine, that I could probably just read a book with only her and not Noah lmao. She's very strong and strives for independence which is so crucial. Noah is also the book boyfriends of all book boyfriends! I mean someone just knows when you're in danger?! MAJOR SWOON!
Also, as usual, Kimberly does not miss with the secondary characters, I was so enthralled in hearing Dalton's backstory as for Garretts and the little girl! It was also nice to see Braxton and Cara again even though Braxton was a mini protagonist in the story (MINI protagonist...we still love him).
Overall, I definitely recommend reading this book! The plot was written beautifully and the characters are all such a delight.

I love you all! -Bookwhoreforever

This is a friends to lovers romance with the added best friend's little sister trope. Noah and Braxton have been best friends since they were eight years old. Shannon is Braxton's younger sister and always, even as a child, felt that Noah was special. The flashbacks to their youth was sweet. It really showed how much Shannon cared for Noah.
Now, in college, Braxton and Noah are seniors playing baseball for Cessna University and Shannon is a sophomore. She is trying to find her footing at college with an overprotective Braxton due to her congenital heart defect. Noah has feelings for her that he knows he can't act on since he is Braxton's best friend and he won't like it. Plus, there is the added "don't date a teammates sister."
Noah has his own inner demons to fight and until he comes to terms with those he won't be committing to any woman in a relationship. There are more than one obstacle in their way to a happy ending, but I enjoyed the story getting there.
This is book two in the series and I didn't read book one. I didn't feel like I was missing any vital information to enjoy this story, though.
Thank you to InkSlinger PR and the author for my advanced copy.
