Pretty good mystery that could've done with some paring down. I mean how many times does C need to go on about his leg hurting, or R need to fight with her fiancé? Also they have a lot of miscommunication that could've moved the story forward faster. Some surprises throughout. The audible narrator is good and I'll probably keep reading this series.

I listened to this on Audible. A worthy sequel in a fantastic series! It was a fun mix of serious sleuthing, witty banter and serious character study. All told in a British accent. What’s not to love?!?

This read was so disappointing. I've been a Cormoran fan for years, loved every bit so far and usually finish them within days. Lethal White changed everything.

First of all, Lethal white is 650 pages long, making it the largest installment at 200 pages more than any of the others. IF the extra 200 pages were dedicated to the mystery I would not be complaining, instead they focused on Robin and Strike's love lives which is basically both of them moping about their current partners and pining for each other.... BORING. Also, I HATE when authors try to justify a main character's appalling behavior , i.e. Robin being pretty shit to Matthew, by creating loathsome antagonists. Yes, Matthew is horrible and manipulative but Robin's pretty shit too and did not took absolutely no responsibility for their fucked up relationship. She's just constantly victimizing herself, boohoo everyone feel sorry for Robin because she can do wrong. Fuck off. At least Strike admitted to being an asshole to the women he was dating.

Anyway, I did not care any longer for Robin and Strike's relationship. It was subtle and sweet in the first 3 books but this was just unnecessary and completely overshadowed the mystery. I did not need 200 pages of endless arguments between Robin/Matthew + Strike/Lorelei + Strike/Charlotte. We fucking get it.

This has sadly turned me off from the series altogether. Goodbye Corm, it was fun while it lasted.

A very fun read, although a more aggressive editorial hand would have trimmed it back and made it a tighter story.
