I enjoyed this book of the series better than the 2nd book. I felt more connected to the characters, and I felt there was a balance between Sadie, Darcy, and Rosanna’s character flaws and positive traits. I felt like in this story Darcy and Rosanna made some huge personal growth was beautifully written and unfolded very naturally. Sadie’s family drama and her journey to move past all the anger was heart wrenching and so honest. I loved that the focus was off boys/romantic relationships and more on the girls and how they treated each other and themselves. I did feel like in this book New York was again it’s own character, but that it took a backseat to the story of the girls. I enjoyed the subtlety. The ending was full of hopefulness and expectation for the future. I loved each girl’s story wrapped up nicely with a tone of their bright future.

Ooof. There was a tiny bit of merit to this last one, but it was kind of a let down. Not in that their endings were bad, but the writing was so much worse. It was as if it was written for someone who has the memory of a goldfish, the repetition of what happened two chapters ago was annoying. Plus the last third was like every single chapter was the ending. “And they all figured out how to be happy” for 10 chapters is a bit much.
