Enjoyed this listening experience. Was an entertaining mixture of romance, spice and suspense.
The most frustrating thing was how her parents often treated her as if she were a teenager and not the assist GM of a major hockey team. A some slight miscommunication (in order to protect them), still frustrating.
“You stay away from daughter”
Max was just a grumpy sweetheart I wish I could give a hug. Whilst other staff members were verging on caricatures of villains.
“You were bent over your little diary so intently”
Was a unique and engaging meet cute.
“I hate flying, I avoid it at all costs…people say flying is statistically safer than driving in a car.”

Effing infuriating. And ridiculous. Got me all riled up. Now I have all this anger and don't know what to do with it but I know I can't waste another minute on this book.

This review may be purely emotional, but I don’t care I stand by it. For a book called “Puck me secretly” it had NO RIGHT to take me through that emotional turmoil. I have read a few hockey books in my time and somehow that one really threw me for a loop. Anyways. Don’t let the name scare you. Just read it. Hockey, spicy, complicated relationships, horrible antagonists, and a twisty end.
*yes I cried. No I don’t want to talk about it*

?★ the amount of miscommunication and rory’s parents not trusting or listening to her (ESPECIALLY at the end) was so infuriating but the romance was super cute. idk how to feel

This is my second sport romance read ever and overall it was a good book. I listened to the first 60% as an audible book but I didn’t love the narrators voice mainly for the male characters, so then I switched to the ebook for the remainder of it.
I loved Max he is was a great grumpy main male character who seemed to fall first in my opinion. Rory was at times a little annoying then at other times be perfect lead female character. I didn’t particularly like any of the side characters in the book and found Rory’s parents hard to grasp.
I loved the hockey aspect and the overall storyline I did think there were a few very dramatic scenes but the story flowed really well and was a nice quick read. There was some rushed spicy scenes but they were good I just wanted a bit more.
