The Elf's King's Bride is a short fairy tale that I bought at an old library book sale, it wasn't a book I had ever heard of but the copy l picked up looked very well loved so I decided to pick it up. It is definitely one I will hold onto and read to my children! The story is pretty simple and typical as far as fairy tales go, but I loved the elements of skepticism and suspense. The first third of the book is very serious, the second third leaves you wondering whether or not there is some sort of fantasy element at play, and the last third its wonderfully whimsical and brings everything together. I only wished it was longer, I would have loved to hear more of the back story, especially the relationship between the Raven and the Elf King. I think this story has a lot of potential and could make a really cool movie.
