Definitely no kidding on the Mature content. To be honestly I wasn’t expecting it to be very heavy on subject matters like rape or pedophilia because the cover does not specify specific subject matters anywhere on book because it only says Older Teens 17+. This was kinda a hard read to get through some parts that made me feel really uncomfortable that I basically had to skim some parts.

It was kinda hard to switch back between funny moments and tense scenes. But overall I do love the characters and their development, especially with the main characters in how each one tries to tackle their own problems and try to find how to cope with it.

rape/pedophilia, definitely worth reading tw's before picking it up. i sure wish i had! 

romance was ok, pace was too fast i didn't find it particularly believable. i did spend the last half wondering if it was implying that gender nonconformity is the result of sexual assault.

This was equal parts light hearted and devastating!! Please look up trigger warning prior to readings because the story moves fast and the unwarranted content just happens!!! There were parts that literally had me laughing aloud and other bits that’s gave me heart palpitations. I’m not sure what was discussed was explored as best as it could be. I almost feel that it was wrapped up in a bow without ever actually talking about the trauma of their childhoods.

Just like the emotional manga series, Our Dreams at Dusk, this another poignant and thought provoking manga that touches on serious issues such as abuse and trauma and how to emerge from those events and trying to understand your place in the world but on your own terms. One of my favorite comics of 2022 so far.
