Unlike most of the other Christmas books I've read, this isn't one I've read often/ever year. It's been a long time since I read it, but it's still one I think about periodically.

This follows a young couple Keri and Richard (the author and his wife) and their daughter Jenna, as they move in with an elderly woman named MaryAnne and the way she touches their life while also uncovering a box that comes to be known as The Christmas Box and things go from there.

It's a really well-written book, and one I enjoy, though it's very bittersweet and emotional. It's a book I like to revisit from time to time, but also one that you need to sit with after you've finished it.

I definitely recommend reading this at least once.
