I literally loved this book! I am thankful that Dixon wrote this weird, imaginative story, because it was so unique compared to other novels I have read, and I appreciate anyone who has a fun, uncommon idea then brings it to life to share with others. I adored how much Vektal cared for Georgie from the moment he saw her, never mistreating, minimizing, or invalidating her, and I thought his matter-of-fact personality was amusing. I thought so highly of Georgie, who fought for herself and her fellow captives, braved a new world to save everyone, then still opted to side with the group should they want to leave, even if it meant saying goodbye to Vektal. Diverse aliens, new planets, and unbelievable odds, this book kept me intrigued, entertained, and amazed. I rushed out to get the second installment as soon as I finished the first!

Compared to End of Story, this was a very welcome change! This series has been on my TBR for a while but I wasn't motivated enough to start the series.

Monster/Alien Romances are not new to me so there were only a few elements in this book that were new to me. Would I have preferred a bit more of a fight from the human characters being stuck on this planet and meeting new aliens after being abducted? Heck, yeah. But good overall.

TLDR: Silly and sexy and dumb in all the right ways. Like cotton candy in book form.

Other than the rape in the first chapter, which seems to be a misguided attempt to establish stakes, this is a goofy, fluffy, funny little novel that is exactly what you would expect from the cover and title. Human women get stranded on ice planet, one of them gets picked up by a 7-foot-tall blue alien who sees her as his mate, hilarity and sexual escapades ensue.

The locals have very few women, so they're thrilled, which could have gone in a terrible direction, but they're all very respectful and consenty and concerned that their ladies are probably going to die because they're so soft and weak. It's a species of Wife Guys, but like, in a good way.

I'm not super into the pregnancy angle at the end or the fact that the main pair are scientifically fated to be mated, but again, the book is generally so silly and such an obvious fantasy that it's hard to be mad.
