Finally time for more Grey <3
The first half of the book I wasn't very involved in the story. Just not a lot of action happened. But I do think Brigid wrote the politics and the emotions and feelings of the characters very well.
The second half though, oeff, that was an amazing rollercoaster. I loved it! And damn that Lillian is a b*tch.
Enjoyed it very much, but didn't blow me away. So a solid 4 stars.

Not much world building for the rest of the world - only mentions these two countries the entire time, but we know there must be lots given people believed ‘Disi’ was a place.
I liked Grey a lot more than Rhen as a love interest (for Lia Mara - I didn’t want him for Harper).
I would have liked an epilogue to see how Lia Mara and Grey (and someone else) progressed as well as what Rhen and Harper ended up doing.
I was kind of confused the whole time with how old Tycho was, I’m not sure if it was mentioned anywhere in the previous book but I went through that book thinking he was an actual child (like 8 ish) but I think he would be more like 13-15 with how he is portrayed in this book.

Spoiler
I actually didn’t mind Lia Mara’s pregnancy given how close to the end it was but I would have liked a cute scene between her and Grey when he found out (I know it wasn’t a cute time with her vomiting but still).I was kind of confused the whole time with how old Tycho was, I’m not sure if it was mentioned anywhere in the previous book but I went through that book thinking he was an actual child (like 8 ish) but I think he would be more like 13-15 with how he is portrayed in this book.

Ok! I just love these characters! I was so happy to have all 4 MCs perspectives. Grey is so swoon worthy and dreamy and I love how Iiask taught him to use his magic. The second half of the book was exciting and heartbreaking and just so good! Rhen totally redeemed himself in this one from book two. I really enjoyed how loose the ending was bc maybe we can have another story with these characters?! SO. GOOD.

Wowza! Such a good ending to this story! This was pretty action packed & the changing narrators kept the pace up. This is easily one of my favorite series! I’m planning a reread on it already! So many great quotes in this book! I wasn’t sure how she was going to be able to wrap this up, but I can say I’m pretty satisfied with the ending. I think it was left a little open-ended though. Maybe another book?!

I am not going to lie, this book was the worst one from the series by far. The ending just felt super rushed and all the battles that were perfectly written out in te first and second book were just mere summaries in this book.
It felt like she didn’t want to write the battles and sex scenes for whatever reason. Even though the few in depth parts we had, they were so good!
And the ending feels even more rushed I wouldn’t mind a thicker book if it had those scenes well written out, I would even prefer it to this.
Al with al it’s just a disappointing end to a great series

4.75 stars! This was a fantastic ending to the series. I liked that we got Rhen and Harpers perspective back because I missed that in book 2. My only issue with is was very similar to my issue with book 2, Rhen had his head up his ass and when he finally pulled it out my poor boy got tortured by Lilith.

This is a simple and easy to read YA fantasy series. I enjoyed the political intrigue but I didn’t find anything especially amazing.
