In Your Room, Was adorable!
I read it in a day! I liked how Jordanna Fraiberg created her story line of the "house swap", and her characters, especially Charlie and his parents and Molly and her friends.
I love reading girly "romantic" books like these. Even though it was girly "romantic", it wasn't like anything I've read.
If you're into cute love stories like I am, then you have to read this! It's an easy read and so adorable that you won't want to put it down.

In Your Room is a quick and easy read in which you can pretty much guess the ending. Basically, Molly and Charlie are two teens whose families have swapped houses for the summer and through their rooms and online correspondence, they start to get to know each other and gradually fall in love.

I'm a romantic, I'm not afraid to say it, but even after this, I don't think it's quite possible to fall in love with someone through their rooms. I don't know, I mean, it's clear from the novel that they are attracted to one another and have common interests, but to say that they were falling in love? A little far-fetched for me.

A few subplots here and there, but it doesn't pull In Your Room into a "higher" category. Recommended for those who just want to chill out with an easy read.

Easy read. Typical YA fiction. I enjoyed the quotes relating to each chapter at the beginning.

Cute, but with little substance. There was nothing really wrong with it, and I recommend it if you're looking for some light reading, but beyond that, not so much.

This was an ok book except it...definitely has some let's say last-decade sensibilities. Like being obsessed with a guy just by being in his bedroom and of course the guy is going to be physically perfect and make all the guys swoon over him and literally loose control of themselves but whatever. Also minus a star (star and a half?) for not only clingy obsessive ex-girlfriend (that doesn't even go anywhere and gets dropped super-fast) but for also her being a redhead.

The part that was most relatable to me was the whole fashion design aspect since that's my major of choice. But I have to say the love story caught my attention although it was very predictable! What can you say though, like most girls I'm a sucker for cute love stories... (Although this is highly unlikely to EVER occur.)

Had aspects that reminded me of the movie 'The Holiday' with the whole switching houses ordeal! Nonetheless cute but nothing new that really caught my attention. Love the idea of the vintage stores and it seems Molly's relationship with her new father was a little rushed! (You will understand after reading!)

Quick/easy read though for I was able to finish it in a few hours! Keep in mind for those who have a kindle, nook, etc... They DON'T have this in an ebook form! (I checked! But luckily it's under $10 in the USA at your local Barnes&Nobles!)

Absolutely adorable! That's really all I can use to describe this fun, quick read. It was concept that was fairly simple and straight forward and used that age old saying to a tee: you can tell a lot about someone from their bedroom.

Basically the book is about Molly and Charlie, two teenagers living in two different states. They have their whole summer planned out until their parents drop a bombshell on them; they have signed up for a house swap and Molly and her family will be living in Colorado for the summer while Charlie and his family will be going to sunny California. Now both stuck in houses that aren't theirs and in rooms that belong to someone else they both start to explore the other a little more. And when they start talking and confiding in each other an unexpected romance blossoms.

Really, I quite liked both Charlie and Molly. Although Charlie was a little stereotypical for Colorado with the biking and nature stuff, he was still likable and his own person. And Molly I liked because she wasn't the in your face vapid California girl. Sure she was into clothes and looks, but she was also into the business part of it too. She wasn't just about the next Prada bag. She wanted to make something out of nothing. Watching these two talk over email and discover something about one and other(even with a lot of major misunderstandings) was truly enjoyable. It was one of those feel good books that shows you really what young love should feel like.
