This is an okay book. I was really into it at the beginning, but I started to lose interest.

I've yet to understand what Miranda's Big Mistake was??? This book was loooong. Why did we need Miles in there? I'm just confused. It was almost not worth finishing because it was a little predictable. Especially after it started going into Bev and her date with Johnnie. Why did we need that? I wasn't nearly as invested in her as I should have been, perhaps?
Definitely an easy read and I love some good chick-lit, so I'm definitely not mad about the book- hence the four star rating. Just long for no real reason at all. It was probably about 200 pages too long.

Predictable and unbelievable, over the top and cliché, but fun!

Super fun. The whole book made me smile when I wasn't outright laughing. Totally enjoyed Miranda's messed up love life even though I knew she'd get it right in the end.
This was a nicely constructed comedy of errors. It was reminiscent of one of those smart theatre comedies that rely on precise timing for the comedy to work. It also had a fabulous revenge scheme that was worth the price of the book. All the supporting characters were great, even the walk on characters added their nice bits to the plot. Some of the romances were a little to pat and nicely wrapped up in a bow. But that is ok, it works great as feel good comedic chick lit.

It took me only 3 days to read it, so it must be good. It is a light read, fun and flirty, and at the same time real, criss-crossed and zig-zaged.
The main character is Miranda, a junior stylist (complete with maroon and blue streaked hair) that works at the salon of the famous Fenn Lomax, stylist of the stars, and always gets herself in trouble, but she has a big heart and a feisty personality.
There are so many things that are happening, there is Chloe and Greg, but wait a minute Greg is Miranda's perfect guy - that turns out to be anything but perfect - having just left his very pregnant wife, Chloe; a homeless guy with whom Miranda shares her lunches, that turns out to be a journalist. There is also Flo, Miarnda's tenant, an amazing old lady, and her I-only-care-about-my-mothers-money son, Bruce, that is in fact Chloe's boss. There is also Miles that has a few-days-romance with Miranda, and then he ends up dead, killed on his way to her, after just confessing the fact that he really cared about her on live TV. Honestly, Miles was my favorite character in the book, and his death kind of throw me of; oh and his best friends, ends-up with Bev, Miranda's I-really-want-to-get-married-and-have-kids coworker.
Anyway, Flo finds her love in Tom, an old friend, while putting a prank on Greg with the help of Danny, the homeless guy, Chloe, who is now friends with Miranda, Fenn, and Miranda herself.
Chloe finds her man in Fenn, after giving birth to her daughter with Greg - that he wants nothing to do with - and Miranda is again the single girl... of course she finds her beau in the last pages of the book, and it turns out he was there the whole time!!!
Now, I know, I gave up a bit too many details, but trust me, there are still a lot of things going on, so go and enjoy a playful romantic book, with real characters that are far from perfect.
