I loved this installment in the "Truly Devious" series. I was already excited to continue the series, and this book just makes me want to do it even more! The very first thing I loved about this book was the entire mystery in general. I love the mystery at the summer camp, learning more about and investigating said mystery, and finding put the answer to the mystery. Also, not only was it an amazing mystery in general, but the writing and execution make it perfect. I couldn't get enough of any of the aspects of the mystery, and I was engrossed, determined to find out what the answer to it all was with each new detail. It was also very fast-paced, and started at the perfect time; not too early, not too late. I also really liked the non-mystery parts of the story. Even when Stevie wasn't in detective mode, her regular every day life that was occurring in the story was also something I really liked. The way they were written, as well as their parts in the story, made them so interesting, and I was always sucked in (do I sound really weird right now?). Anyway, finally, I also really liked the characters in this book. Both the old and new characters were amazing un thus latest adventure. I loved their personalities, and, yes, how well they were written. So, overall, this was a satisfying installment, and I can't wait to see what's in store.

This is the best one so far. Probably because the case was solved in single book. Plus I like how everything is formatted to show the difference between the present, past and written pieces of evidence. I can’t wait to start the next one

Giving three stars is more generous than I wanted to be. I was anticipating this book for so long. The only reason I read through this whole book is because I have been so invested in Stevie and the gang since the Truly Devious series. 50% of this book is spent questioning people who were around back when the murders happened. All the people questioned by Stevie say the same exact thing, it was overkill. I know people wanted more Nate Fisher but he just seemed totally out of character in this book. I guess overall, the book just was not what I had expected it to be.

Stevie and her friends are invited to a summer camp to solve a decades old murder.
I was annoyed they left the school - but quickly adjusted my attitude.
In the 70s, The Box in the Woods Murder was committed. Though authorities investigated several theories, it remains unsolved.
Until a millionaire decides to buy the camp and solve the murder. And create the ultimate podcast.
Stevie and her friends are given jobs to help them blend. But their major focus is the case.
How I love these characters. Nate, Janelle, and even David lend humor, reality and shenanigans as Stevie delves deep into this town's history.
Great addition to this series!

You addictive book! I LOVED this book. The characters have developed even more and become mature since I last saw them in Ellingham. This is a quick read, I didn't even realise till the end that I had consumed 400 pages of awesomeness! It was grittier and in-depth for the case this time. When I had almost reached the ending, I kind of guessed the killer in the ending, but this book deserves to be read and loved just like the Truly Devious trilogy! I loved the element of the Nutshell studies, as it represented our Stieve's personality and the nutshell studies are very interesting! I am in awe after reading the ending, so precise didn't leave any loose ends, hit directly to the bull's eye!! Thank you Harper Collins for sending me this book!
