I'm not a fan of the Hero or heroine being hung up on a previous dead love.
This is the premise of this book but it has been a long time since the Hero's previous love interest died. He becomes aware that he hasn't dealt with the grief, not that he actually still loves her. It is handled well.
I liked that the Hero has been celibate since his previous love interest, some 10 years or so despite their culture being very sexually active.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
Residual feelings for his ex.
Previous couples appear.
HEA.

i had such a good time with this one!! i lowkey like the whole “you’re my fated mate so i’m gonna kidnap you away” sorta vibe - IRL hell to the no, but in alien romances, hell to the yeah. i loved vikan&taylor vvvery much. i loved their special gifts - sooo cool by the way and added even more to the series. can’t wait to continue!!
