Good book. Good series.

Trigger warnings: past (not in this book but recounted) sexual abuse, rape, torture, incest, (and in this book) heroin addiction.

The book starts out in a very dark place.

I don't want to say too much, but although I am not much good with such dark elements as listed above, having finished the book I am in an okay state, and looking forward to the next book. Faulkner is one hell of a skilled writer, to do such a good job.

Wow, this began with a blast, and it never slows down, even for a bit. Dread permeates the whole story; Quentin's father has made his move setting Frederick as his weapon of choice to destroy Laurence and take control of Quentin. The danger keeps growing and growing and the end of the fight seems to be unavoidable...

An amazing story, the end of the arc, but not of the menaces to Laurence and Quentin. Gosh, I need to get the next two books ASAP!

As always, Seb Yarrick dies a fantastic work with the narration.
