Not quite what I was expecting. It had interesting moments, it had spicy moments, it had sweet moments. Surprisingly I really enjoyed the domme, which isn’t something I usually like. But the pacing got to me and I never really connected with the characters. I didn’t ever feel like I understood anyone’s motivations besides Malek and well he’s came about through dark and toxic circumstances. Conceptually I enjoyed the story but I think we spent a little to much time in Malek’s POV. I was confused by almost everything Jas does outside of playtime and I struggle to call what Kodi feels, love. I think this reads a little more like women’s fiction than romance. I think it was an ok start for the author but there is room for improvement.

Holy moly 😳
I am typically not into Domme roles as I prefer the alpha male Dom. However, M.T.Adams did NOT disappoint. This book was spicy 🌶️ 🥵 and pulled me in with a collar and leash. There is one scene in the office that included some 🐓warming and a tattoo… let. Me. Tell. You. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🥵 This book made me want to go to the kennel for a 6 month contract even. The story was great, mystery, murder and tons of triggers. All the makings of a book I enjoy. Will definitely be adding M.T. Adams to my one click list. 
 
Don’t want to give anything away, but definitely read your triggers before picking up this book.
