Why didn’t anyone force me to read this book before I was 26 years old????? That was the most fun. I can’t wait to read the rest!

I've been in a bit of a reading slump these past two months and wanted some light to get me back into the mood. I knew Harry Potter could do this for me. I've been meaning to re-read this series - it's on my TBR for the year - so I'm glad to finally revisit it in book form.
As usual, I find some of the plot and characters problematic - namely Dumbledore - but this book is so nostalgic and heart warming that I could never rate it other than a 5 stars. It's truly magical.

My very first time reading Harry Potter. Obviously so iconic, but I had imagined the books would contain more inner dialogue, especially Harry’s own thoughts and feelings at the time of the events. It was rather just like the movies: this happened, and that happened, and then bam, this happened next… I expect later books to be more “literary”.

A re-read that will never get stale for me and one of my favourite comfort reads.
Will love these magical books, always.
