No Spoilers Review:

Quirky space drama about lovers from two opposing sides, while raising a baby? It sounds like we've all been there, done that, but what Brian is able to bring to this recurring theme makes up for all of it. The world he's placed this version of Romeo and Juliet in is just wild and beautiful. I highly recommend this graphic novel to anyone who wants to step into the world of graphic novels or the world of sci fi fantasy.

I loved this and cannot wait to read the rest of the series! This has been on my list for a while, and I finally found this book in English at my local library. Though it's huge, I read it all in one night. The art is so beautiful, but the story is such a creative adventure. I loved seeing the different alien characters and getting to know their complicated histories, stereotypes, and conflicts. Alana is awesome, and her relationship with Marko and their child is so wholesome. Marko's parents and the ghost of Izabel, and bounty hunter The Will and his Lying Cat also have my heart!

New parent? Young lover? Sentient being with a beating heart? I recommend the horrifically bingeable Saga, which has run to critical acclaim for over a decade now as its protagonists age in real time, exploring life, death, war, fucking, and what it means to build a family when your world is burning. New and old readers alike delight in January 2023 as the series continues with new issues: grab hold of the bandwagon now!

Hazel is born in the middle of a war by parents who should never have met and definitely never fallen in love.
Before she is even a few hours the new family is haunted by agents from every side who is trying to kill them…

The first 18 chapters of Saga! I found it to be a compelling story with visceral (sometimes overly-graphic) art. I was hooked almost immediately, despite the fact that much of the language and sexuality was more than I expected. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for younger readers, but I would recommend it to any adults interested in fantasy, SF, or comics, who haven't necessarily enjoyed graphic novels before. It's accessible enough to keep from being confusing, but unique enough to secure interest.
All that just to say, I really enjoyed it!
