I love the entire Avalon Bay series (and anything Elle writes, seriously) but I think Cass and Tate’s story had to be my favourite!

After reading over 130 romance books, it’s hard to say there’s ever a plot line that surprises me, but
when Victoria revealed at the Beacon that she had an affair with Gavin Bartlett and he was the one who got her pregnant and suggested she terminate the pregnancy
I was shook! I totally expected
Victoria to try to seduce and sleep with Tate as some naracisstic plot against Cassie
so I was not expecting that plot twist at the end.

I’m glad that Tate and Cassie were able to reconcile at the end and I wish the story was longer to see their HEA.

I do hope she writes a follow up to these 3 stories at some point, sort of like she did with The Legacy! Mac/ Cooper, Gen/ Evan and Cassie/ Tate need a future!

This book is the 3rd one in the Avalon Bay series. I devoured this just like I did with the first 2. Elle kennedy never disappoints me with her books.

Cassie stays for the summer in Avalon with her grandmother and she is on the hunt for a summer fling.

The first night in town she stumbles into Tate at a bonfire, who turns out will be her neighbor for the summer. They hit it off right from the beginning and everything is great until Tate friend zones her. Cassie is still wanting to find a summer fling, Tate decides to be her wingman and try and help her find one.
Of course that isn’t as easy when feelings start to become present between the both of them.

While reading this I fell more and more in love with their relationship and friendship. And the twist at the end of the book I was not excepting what so ever.

This book is dual POV
Friends to lovers
The spice in the book was excellent it wasn’t overpowering but it was still very good.

Elle Kennedy’s books are such good quick reads, I highly recommend this series and this book alone!

I had so much fun reading this sweet, moving and steamy romance, it really is the perfect summer read! Cassie is visiting Avalon Bay for the summer and staying with her grandmother. She is looking for a summer fling, to get some experience before she goes back for her senior year of college. Tate is a local who hides behind his surfer/player reputation but is hardworking, smart, charming, and sensitive. They have a couple meet cutes that are awkward and sweet and soon become friends. Cassie wants him to be her summer fling, but he likes her too much and turns her down, offering to be her wingman instead. They live next door to each other and end up spending lots of time together, having fun and even flirting. Their attraction grows and they soon agree to a summer fling. But the more time they spend together, the more they begin to wonder if they could be more. But when family starts to get in the way, are they strong enough to fight for something/someone they never saw coming who now owns their heart?
I loved Tate, and Cassie together, they were sweet, awkward at times, and very steamy. I felt their chemistry from their very first interaction. Cassie was a great character, she was strong, supportive, and fun. I loved Tate and thought he was charming, kind, and romantic. I also loved all their friends who added so much fun and humor to this story as well. This romance melted my heart instantly with it's fabulous characters, heartfelt emotions and beautiful storyline. I was completely captivated and couldn't put it down!

Caitlyn Elizabeth & Teddy Hamilton were brilliant as Cassie and Tate, delivering a performance that was completely addictive. Hamilton's expressive voice showed Felix's fun and charming side, as well as his vulnerabilities, making him even more swoony. Elizabeth shined portraying Cassie's strength, and determination, and also her growth from awkward to seductress. I really enjoyed both their abilities to bring these characters to life and make me love Cassie and Tate even more.
This romance melted my heart instantly with it's fabulous characters, heartfelt emotions and beautiful storyline. I was completely captivated and couldn't put it down!

Okay I really liked the main characters but the drama was too much with her mother. I hate 3rd act breakups but I appreciated their friendship and growth as a pair

The two narrators did a good job of bringing this story to life and I was invested in the characters' romance and emotional journeys. I especially liked the female narrator. Overall, it was a lot of fun. But there was too much focus on virginity/losing it/physical characteristics of a virgin. And at times it felt immature. This author may not be for me, but I enjoyed her work for the most part. Thanks to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the review copy in exchange for an honest review.
