really cool art style!! such a weird, slightly unsetteling but very intriguing world!! it was very fleshed out. the story itself is also very cool and i love the idea behind it :)

Read this as a break from the novel I'm struggling though. Remember seeing it in the past but was reminded of it after seeing it on a list of Jeff VanderMeer favorites. Quick comic about the pitfalls of venturing into the wild. The art style matches the tone of the story perfectly. Portions of the book reminded me of a whimsical Area X.

the story is a fun one, but not that interesting. the creatures were somewhat fun and wiggly and that's all there was to it. the art style is not to my liking, here's the thing: I think this style is being used way too much on sites and is lazy and annoying. some think it has more of a pro feel to it, more of a clean and "artsy" (whatever that is) feel to it, and I couldn't disagree more. 2.5 stars
