I am always so amazed at the well of knowledge audre lorde has. she writes in such an informative yet poetic manner. my favourite essay is the transformation of silence into language and action. i myself have so many silences I need to break (in-spite of fear). i am learning that poetry is a not a luxury but a necessity, and act of resistance, simultaneously an act of care. I will be returning to these essays for years to come. lorde, thank you for you keepsakes.
