I loved thiss- there’s definitely some insta love in this which isn’t my favorite but I enjoyed the story a lot and loved the main characters relationship and how it developed :)
(Also obviously the 🌶️ is great)
I will say there’s significantly less plot outside of the main characters in this one but I honestly didn’t mind that at all cause I felt like the main couple needed that time to figure out their own shit and didn’t need an addition miscommunication or other plot element butting in

Another hit from Lark. I adored Rose and Gideon so much. I feel like I’m picking out all the minor characters I want to star in a Lark book next as I read through (it’s all of them).

I think I skimmed the last quarter of the book. The characters were really flat to me and I forget I really don't like insta-love/ fated mate trope.
Definitely a different type of spice genre I'm used to but it was okay except the breeding kink.
Overall, just not my cup of tea.

"You deserve to be wooed and I mean to woo you."

Rose is a Love witch. Her family has been turning relationships into magic for eons via their bathhouse which is both a place of business and pleasure. As the resident match-maker, it's up to Rose to match various paranormal couples together, but when a match she makes ends poorly and a new man appears in her life who's very interested in her, she has to come to term with the fact that maybe there's more to learn about being a witch so experienced in the art of love.

I don't know what else to say except tentacles. And a very, very hot Kraken man who might just be into stalking. I... yeah. 5/5 this was exactly what the doctor ordered for my mental health and I will be reading Lillian Lark's entire backlog now.

I also really want a Gideon Strand of my own now, so I'm taking applications.

Content warnings: stalking (it's literally in the title), sexual content (it's so porny), trafficking (sub-plot, brief scene with women after they're saved)

Someone is watching me.

This was my first fantasy stalker romance book I believe and I loved it. Both MCs were lovable from the start in their on ways.

“My pleasure is dependent on your enjoyment. I need to be able to trust that you’ll tell me when you want me to stop.”

The love interest and MMC,  Gideon, is a very giving man.

“You love when I fill you up everywhere. Isn’t that right, little witch?”

Has a very dirty mouth on him.

“Do I have permission to give you gifts?”

“Well, if I say yes now, it makes me appear greedy.”

“Nothing wrong with a little greed, Rose. You deserve to be wooed and I mean to woo you.”

Thoughtful.

“If you run from me, Rose, I’ll hunt you down.”

And he's ready to hunt our FMC, Rose.

This book includes ⬇️
Stalking ✔️
Mention of infertility ✔️
Breeding kink ✔️
Soul mate ✔️
Lots of tentacles and cum ✔️

“How was that?”

“Give me a moment. I’m seeing stars.”

Enjoy!

I love the bathhouse universe the Lillian has introduced us to in this book. Sex positive, rebounding from a bad relationship, and a little hint of mystery all featuring fun and unique characters I still want to learn more about. Gideon was quite intense from the jump, but mellowed out once he actually started speaking to Rose. I appreciated Rose's hang ups and anxiety about match making after her own match turned into such a clusterfuck. That would shake anyone's confidence!! Her cousin and brother were also so sweet and I look forward to seeing them pop up here and there in future books.
