This book is my go-to recommendation for anyone starting the monster subgenre.
It's quite a cool universe, interesting plot, and spicy scenes sprinkled. If you think you don't like or you don't understand tentacles, start here and be surprised.

A nice and easy read. I really enjoyed the sex positivity, that's always nice to see. Both Rose and Gideon were enjoyable characters, even if Gideon did some questionable things (the stalking), but at least he did acknowledge that it was a fucked thing to do. On a random note, I wonder when Gideon chose his name. Krakens are from nordic folklore, so I kind of would have expected an old nordic name for him instead of a name of Hebrew origin. It's nice name either way, but it would have been a fun little detail to know.
