As someone who works in music, I always enjoy reading books surrounding musicians. This book is a quick read but you dont even notice. Best friend's brother but also childhood friends which is one of my favorite tropes. Emily did such an incredible job with how she dealt with the issues Bridger deals with in a way that feels authentic without glamorizing it. There are a few triggers for this book so please thread lightly everyone.

An easy read with kind of a heavy/dark topic like addiction. Some chapters are about their past which I don't really prefer knowing like this. I prefer it when the MCs just recall it rather than having chapters that tell what happened during a specific time. Also, the plot had a lot more potential though. Book is not that but not that good either. This book helped me get out of my reading slump so I'm thankful.
