Somewhat poetic in its, inconsistent, often confused sentence and language structure and it's use of time is needlessly sporadic however, despite its imperfections this book is somehow perfect in its own little way.

absolutely incredible read, I loved the focus on asserting identity and finding acceptance. the narrative was both realistic and allegorical in equal measure and toed the line well between postcolonial legacy and character study.

this book is about a bunch of old men lusting after a teenager and feeling sorry for themselves
