I like that this book takes the time to truly see both sides of the story. I was surprised to find myself feeling bad for Richard even as I was appalled by his actions. The forgiveness that Sasha and their family showed to him Richard was heartwarming.

A quick, entertaining, and informative look at one of the many problems with our justice system.

The cover and the title do not do this book justice. I flew through it and absorbed every word. I love the education it provides. I love the short chapters that keep you going and feeling accomplished. The writing style is so clear and concise and enjoyable. This book is so so good and has a lot of positivity despite the painful and terribly unfortunate story that it chronicles. I think everyone should read this book

my only issue is with the writing style itself. She really just tells the story and explains everything to us, instead of showing us what is happening. We don’t come to any conclusion on our own, everything is heavily explained to us. I did not like the writing style, there’s no technique or flair. It reads more like an interview or script than a novel, which made it hard for me to get through. I liked her careful detail and description of characters though. Overall, this is a novel not an editorial, some writing style would be nice

Greatly enjoyed the style of this book. The connection to the characters was strong and when you feel for both sides of the issue, you know it’s been covered well.
