OH MY GOOOOOSH. I'm officially in my cowboy era šŸ˜Ā

I absolutely devoured this. I bought the second book when I was only a quarter of the way through and I'm sure I'll do the same with the third.

Our firecracker heroine is perfect. I want to be her friend. She doesn't take shit for herself or those around her. And I love that she has brown eyes. They deserve main character status, too!

The Eaton family is amazing and I'm so happy to contine their stories. Rhett is the perfect misunderstood hero and I adored him.Ā

I will definitely be reading more Elsie Silver books in the future!Ā

Tropes/Themes: Cowboy Romance, Small Town, Grovelling, Workplace Romance (technically) Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Amount of spice: šŸ”„šŸ”„
Explicitness: šŸŒ¶ļøšŸŒ¶ļøšŸŒ¶ļø

Was this mind blowing? No, not at all but it was really, really fun and I was totally hooked. It was also surprisingly funny - all in all just fantastic cowboy rom com vibes. Their chemistry was hot, there were a bunch of my all time favourite micro tropes, the family dynamics were fun and I love a little fictional family drama (so canā€™t wait to see how that plays out).Ā

I adored Rhett and thought he was such a fantastic character but I wasnā€™t a huge fan of Summer, she was just okay (although, she really is growing on me in this second book). The spice was really f*cking hot, it was a little out of my usual spice spec because Iā€™m a fan of a lot of dirty talk but I enjoyed it just the same.Ā

Also, can we talk about Winter for a second? Did someone say Nesta character arc vibes? I canā€™t wait to read her book specifically because I hated her so much in this one and I know sheā€™s going to be my favourite. Ā

okay listen, I loved it but I didnā€™t LOVE it, you know! I think it was so overhyped to me that I was expecting a cross between yellowstone and the edenā€™s series - which it had hints of, but I was definitely expecting a bit suspense šŸ˜… thatā€™s my own bad folks

summer was the perfect FMC for this story!! a city gal with a cowgirl heart, loving the drama and suspense of rodeos and ranch life šŸ„¹ sheā€™s basically me every time I watch yellowstone and google how expensive it is to live on a ranchĀ

rhett was the sexy rodeo bad cowboy with a reputation, and boy, did he live up to the hype!! however, I do think he has a lot to work on emotionally and not a lot of admission and work was done to earn summerā€™s trust šŸ˜¶ I think there was a lot of miscommunication due to āœØ trauma āœØ and inability to place 100% responsibility on oneself, which frankly made me super angry

rhettā€™s actions towards the end of the book were unforgivable and a bit possessive, and I wish summer had stuck to her guns with holding him accountable šŸ„“ that being said, they really were super cute together

I cannot wait to read more about this family because I just want to insert myself in it thank you very much!!!

thank you to netgalley and bloom books for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!Ā

I wanted to read this book because it is all over the book community. I love finding new authors and I love romances and cowboys. Ā

This book has two points of view. The first is Rhett Eaton, he is the face of professional bull riding and the golden boy. Or at least he was, until it all blew up in his face. Now, his agent has told him that he must clean up his image before the final bull riding competition. So now, he is stuck with the agentā€™s ball-busting daughter for the rest of the season as his full-time supervision. But he doesnā€™t need a babysitter, especially one with skin-tight jeans and a mouth she canā€™t stop running. The second point of view is Summer Hamilton, she is working for her dadā€™s business because she is the ultimate people-pleaser. Summer is determined to get this job done and correctly and that there arenā€™t boundaries to cross. Rhettā€™s reputation canā€™t take any more hits, and neither can my heart. Summer and Rhett are getting closer as the tournament is getting to the end, but Summer is knowing the man behind the mask, and I am not running. Ā

I never knew that sports romances could be so addictive especially bull-riding romances like damn. This book was so fun and flirty, and I loved the romance between Rhett and Summer. I love the Eaton family, if they would like to adopt me that would be fantastic because I love their family dynamic and how they all instantly loved winding Rhett up about Summer, but also adored Summer and treated her like family. I loved Kip being a shit-stirrer and trying to get these two together just because he wants them both to be happy. I love the little details of the romance like Summer taking care of Rhett even though he didnā€™t want help and Rhett helping Summer by showing her how much she means to people and that she should be confident within herself. Ā

I dislike Winter and Rob. I understand that she was pissed but she shouldnā€™t have been pissed and Summer, that had nothing to do with her. Malina is also a piece of work, and I would have hit her.Ā  I would have liked a solid ending with what happened to Malina and Winter and Rob. All we know is that Winter still isnā€™t talking to Summer. Ā

I love that Elsie has already introduced the characters of the next book and it was a solid first book and I cannot wait to carry on this series.Ā

Iā€™ve officially learned that I donā€™t like the pet name ā€œPrincessā€ as it was used too many times by the love interest AND her Dad.

I loved this book. It reminded me a lot of The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks when it came to the bull riding aspect, even with the way it ended. I loved Rhett and Summer, they were the perfect balance to one another and I loved how they supported one another, especially when others that should have their back didn't. The level of spice was really good as well. I was not a fan of Winter and because of it the reveal in the third act conflict didn't make me feel anything for her. I hated the step mother and she only appeared on page once. I really liked Kip but just wish he stepped up against the step mum a bit more because though I get his guilt over how Summer was conceived that doesn't giver her the right to treat Summer the way she did. I had high expectations for this romance because of the hype and it definitely lived up to it and I am so excited for the rest in the series.
