I seriously think that this was one of the most bittersweet and heartbreaking things I have ever read. It was amazing but I am very sad now. I was not expecting that, seriously.

So good and so heartbreaking. Why would Marissa Meyer do this to her fans?! Great little story though.

This short story was a thousand times better than Cinder and Scarlet combined. I'm actually tearing up right now.

Poor Star! I wish she had had a chance... :'(

How dare MM make me so sad in such a short story. This version of The Little Mermaid was a nice addition to TLC even if it was depressing.

This was a short story, and it was very cute/adorable.

I felt sorry for our little android, she saves a life and what does she get? That her behaviour is strange, that she should be scrapped/re-programmed. Poor thing, luckily she escapes.

And she meets Linh Cinder. *cheers* I really liked the exchange between Mech6.0 and Linh, though I wish it would have gone differently.

It had a lot of similarities with the Little Mermaid story, girl falls in love with a guy she cannot have, she saves him, loses her voice and trouble arises, though it doesn't all go as that story. Sadly. :(

The ending was a bit confusing, but soon becomes clearer. For some reason I liked the ending, though I had expected differently and I am a bit sad.

Well it was an ok novella.

I wasn't overly impressed with it, but then again filler novels are one of my pet hates along with standalone novels turned trilogy and trilogies continued past three books, so I was negatively biased to begin with.

I liked Star and felt sorry for her - but I didn't find the rest of the characters all that likable - maybe it was meant to be that way. I remember hating the prince in the Little Mermaid. Either way - the story left me with a meh feeling and that's not what you come out with after having read a good book.

Meh

Sorry, Marissa Meyer, I still love most of your other stuff.
