Loved it better than the first book.

This one really drew me in. I loved that Philemena was an inventor. I am not really familiar with this time period but I don't think it was a common practice for a women. The v parrot totally had me in stiches with it quirky behavior. I look forward to the next book.

A fabulous second installation in this series. I was so happy to see a new side to Morgan since we didn’t see much of him in the last book. Not to mention how freakin’ cute he is!! It was quite nice to see a bumbling man growing red and getting awkward towards the woman he’s interested in.

Speaking of, I’m a big fan of Phil, I love her philosophy. She’s smart and witty and not a bumbling virgin which is always fun to see. Watching her interact with Morgan was such a pleasure.

If I’m being quite honest, this one did start to drag the tiniest bit at the very end, but I’m still very happy with how things turned out.

*3.5* I definitely liked this, but I didn't love it. I really wanted and thought I would enjoy this series more than I have. I have yet to put my finger on what is missing, just know that something is. That really is the best way I can describe it, this book and the one prior are both lacking the something that could make this series special.
