rule of wolves was perfect. leigh’s writing, as always, is vivid and exciting. it’s amazing to me how many characters there are in this world and how relevant and integral they are to the story <3… zoyalai nation rise !! finally my favourites getting what they deserve- ngl i cried at their ending!!

I can't help but be delighted by this book's wide variety of representations. It's nice to see such a delicate appearance of a transgender character.
(Of course, the book was entertaining and all, but yet.)

Is it possible that I'm rating this book 3 stars solely for the very last few chapters in which Inej makes an appearance and some of the other Crows are mentioned? Yes.

But I also genuinely loved SOME parts of this book. Emphasis on the some. If this were any other series that I loved less, perhaps I would complain about the Mayu chapters that were exceedingly boring and seemingly pointless,,,, but, the Grishaverse has been my sanctuary for over a year now, and for that, some leniency is called for.

The Darkling,,, my evil, problematic fave. He really doesn't deserve forgiveness, but I don't like that he didn't even show remorse at the end. Why didn't Leigh just let him say he was sorry
