I love this series. It's a funny and easy read, but still contains emotional scenes and engaging drama.

This was so good aaaaa

There were lots of twists and turns, some I predicted and some I didn't. I found myself liking all the main characters, even if some took a while to settle in my good books. Brandon Sanderson does a really good job at pacing and writing stories full of action like this!

I'm super excited to read the other books in this series! I want to see how the story unfolds from here and how life is after
the Reckoners managed to kill Steelheart and Nightwielder.

This is my first Sanderson novel, definitely checking out the other books in the series + the other ones he wrote!

Wasn’t grabbing my attention. Became a chore to read. Super bummed about it because I LOVED Mistborn but just wasn’t feeling this one in the same way

I’ll be the first to admit it—This book did not appeal to me when I first heard about it. The premise of evil superheroes is just not my cup of tea, and I was worried this would just be another standard grimdark fare. However, Sanderson’s writing just has something about it that sets him apart. I enjoyed this book a lot—though the teen romance subplot was very annoying at first, and Sanderson’s descriptions of one of the female characters is awkward to read—and I will definitely be checking out the next installment. Basically, keep in mind this book was written almost a decade ago, but still tells a good story with interesting and loveable characters.
