I felt like there was potential for this book, at times. It came to a point where it was more confusion than anything. I echo the viewpoint that the characters could’ve been developed more. I wanted to like it, but just couldn’t.

From the beginning to the end of this book, I was on the edge of my seat. So many thrilling twists and turns! Just as I thought the book was wrapping up, I looked at the progress I’d made and discovered I was only halfway through. There was just one new twist after another, and I wasn’t expecting any of them — which is great. I loved how it gave me lots to think about philosophically, like what is real and what “memory” actually is and what it means for our society. I like books that have deeper messages, and this one definitely had some. The mind-bending story was gripping and very well written. I’m only giving it 4 stars because it seemed slightly similar to “Dark Matter,” but I loved it all the same.

The story was good, interesting plot. It was a bit hard to follow at times but well explained. The author excels at world building and plot but falls short on character development. The female characters have no faults and feel flat while the male characters have a bit more depth.
