I read "Mind Platter" in 2019 and I loved it. Thus, I was really surprised at how less I enjoyed reading "Sparks of Phoenix". Out of 230 pages I marked down only twenty that spoke to me. The rest felt repetitive (in the thought behind the poem, words/phrases used etc) and often simplified to the level of slogans ("do this - don't do that").
Zebian has tried to compile the poems based on the narrative of a phoenix burning to and rising from ashes. The idea is great but with narrative poetry book I find it important for the narrative to be present even without the chapter titles and I am not confident to say that in this book it would be so.

Just after reading the prologue I knew I'll love this book. Every words here seems like having a magic, a power, and a lesson that taught me to accept what had happened and moving forward

This book contains so much strength and encouragement. There were very few poems in here that I did not relate to. Just about every word felt like it came from my own heart and mind. I look forward to reading more of Najwa’s work as this was my first.

Beautiful poetry, the words just speak to you and touch your soul, sometimes hard to read and other times uplifting. A great work and this is the first poetry I’ve read by Najwa but I’ll defintelt be reading more.

I am not one for poetry. The first five pages definitely made me go ugh look at all that space wasted when I hit page 29 and started to tear up. The poems are simple but never boring. The sentences are beautifully written, aimed to strike your heart. The linear journey from wounded animal to rising above the pain is easy to read

The book consists of poems and quotes as well as motivation that shows the stages of heartbreak from
the beginning to the end of overcoming it.
Contents of deep feelings that was experience by the author when going through it all. Some might be able to relate to the poetry because being in pain emotionally and mentally can be felt by everyone for the differenct situation that we go through.

Some very lovely poems about healing and heartbreak. Heart-touching and very inspiring.
Enjoyed the book overall
"What is worse
than destroying someone
is making them believe
it was their fault."
