I felt like I was reading a first or second draft of a novel and that it didn’t get to the editor yet; I found the grammar too distracting to truly enjoy this novel.

Additionally, the storyline was somewhat difficult to follow.
There were multiple POV shifts within the same chapter. That works for some books, but I don’t think it worked for this one.

I found the characters very one-dimensional and the main character was barely involved with the main plot! After we learn she has cancer, that’s all she talks or thinks about (which is understandable but why make her a main character?).

I would barely call this is a legal thriller.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

As an author I really enjoyed writing this novel and I hope more readers do too!

Dialogue doesn’t feel natural
Calls out fashion high end brands a lot and uses full names every other paragraph. Writing is dry and overly descriptive-too slow paced for a thriller (IMO)
