So glad I picked this one up. It was super informative and had a lot of well-rounded stories and data discussed. I wish there was a little more information about choosing to live child-free. I keep referencing this book in conversation and may need to pick up my own copy to keep on hand.

Informative but not very practical. Not all sections are equally well developed as there is a bias towards the writer's own situation - which maybe is fair were it not for the general title that, because of this, seems to overpromise. The most valuable part of the book is the testimonies of the people interviewed by the author, which constitute a well rounded collection as the interviewees seem to have quite diverse backgrounds, live circumstances and opinions.

Excellent book about parenthood and non-parenthood, and I also learned a lot about reproductive systems as a fun extra! I just wish she’d spent a little longer on fostering and other ways people can be involved with kids without having their own, like mentoring.
