I was satisfied with the ending, it was perfect. But I can’t justify giving this book 5 stars because the book was pretty stretched out, repetitive and boring from the 20% mark to the 75% mark. I also feel like this was an opportunity to develop Brice to the fullest extent, but that opportunity wasn’t used. All I know is that he is sometimes a creep and sometimes a knight in shining armour. I really loved this trilogy, and will definitely be reading anything McGee puts out in the future.
UPDATE 09/12: OH MY LORD WHAT IS THIS WHY IS THIS SO GORGEOUS THIS COVER HAS DEFINITELY SATISFIED ALL MY NEEDS IN LIFE! My dream is to own all of these in hardcover. Ms. McGee PLEASE DO NOT EVER CHANGE YOUR COVER DESIGNER NOBODY CAN BEAT THIS.
I cannot wait for this cover reveal, I think it's going to satisfy all my needs in life.

Yesss so good!!! A great conclusion to the series. Would definitely reread. The whole series is great.
I do feel like we could have had a little more closure at the end, but I’m still very happy with it.

2.5 stelle!

Following the events in Dubai, Leda, Watt, Rylin and Avery are all attempting to forget and move on with their lives. However, the police are investigating Mariel's death as they are suspicious it might have been a murder after all. And here the web of deception begins to unravel.
Leda's POVs were my favourite and how she has changed as a character from book 1 is amazing. However, the star of this book, in my opinion, was Avery. The girl genetically engineered to be perfect has realized the downsides of the glamorous society she lives in, and is no longer satisfied with playing along as her world begins to come crashing down around her. Seriously, throughout this book, I just kept waiting for the next bomb to drop and I was not disappointed. Every plot twist was fantastically done. Watt, still living in fear of Nadia being discovered, attends an MIT interview and learns to face some tough truths and makes a big decision. The reveal of Mariel's killer, while not someone I would have guessed at, was not all that surprising in hindsight - and also very logical in a way.
Surprisingly, I rather liked Rylin and Cord's plot line even though it was somewhat of a side story compared to the main events. Calliope, on the other hand, was kind of irritating in this book. Her POVs felt rather detached and her character and problems, more than a little shallow. She doesn't have much interaction with the other four and her plot line was almost separate. I expected a little more from her as a character especially since she knows Avery's secret, I thought she should have had more of a role.
Finally, this book is 4 stars and not 5 just for the fact that I thought the Avery/Atlas plot line was over and done with and yet, there it was again. Also, the ending, while somewhat happy, was not satisfactory in my opinion. Nevertheless, I expected gossipy drama and exciting plot twists from this book and it delivered. A great ending to the trilogy!

Spoiler
I'm not really sure about Avery taking the fall and Leda getting away with everything entirely. Also, Avery making the decision to basically trick her family into thinking she's dead and running off to look for Atlas? I thought that was a really awful thing to do.amyhungerford's review against another edition

Well.. I didn't see that coming.
I f'ing love this series.
I don't watch reality TV so this book is basically my bad TV. I know its rotting my brain, but I'm addicted to it.

It’s still weird that they’re high schoolers, but I understand that high school is a good plot device. The story is pretty good, but the early flaws in the romantic relationships continue to make it hard for me to fully love them.
