A great book about fat liberation. While it delves into very deep and dark topics, Sofie's comedic tangents and footnotes help to lighten the load.

This is by no means a thorough delve into fat liberation (it isn't meant to be) but it's such a good start.

On a personal note, some topics really hit home but overall really helped me explore the relationship with my body.

I would recommend this to everyone and anyone, no matter your size!

4.5 ⭐️s. I have no idea why I put off reading this for so long - it was a DELIGHT. I love Sofie and have followed them on IG for a long time. I even have a signed picture of them and their dog on my fridge. This book, while at times repeating alot of information I already knew, was a good reminder for me in many ways. It was also freaking hilarious and had me outright laughing at multiple points.

This book is key reading for everyone. It is a fun, educational primer on fat liberation and challenging fatphobia in your own life. As noted in other reviews, it's not ground-breaking in terms of the fat liberation topics that are covered, but I think it would make a perfect entry point into understanding fatphobia.

Sofie is funny, witty and clever throughout. She is also vulnerable, emotional and deeply moving. The world is better for having this book in it.
