2.5 stars. I expected so much from this because Sterling was my fave but god. What a stunning lack of chemistry. I am going to need to take a small break from this series because the only woman who hasn’t pissed me off so fully in the last 30% is Langley.

After the teasing Samantha Whiskey did I couldn’t wait for this story! Ms. Whiskey did not disappoint! One that cover is drool worthy. Then Sterling, oh, he was the perfect mix of sexy, broody, and vulnerable...all the things I love in my hero. I loved his heart and he was also had a dirty side that wasn’t mad at at all. It’s no wonder London feel hard for him, I did too! Speaking of London, I loved her determination and how much of a go-getter she was. Her and Sterling were perfection together. As usual Ms. Whiskey left us breadcrumbs and trails that leave us begging for more at whose story is up next.

Gah!
Another Reaper, another book boyfriend to add to the pile.

I don't know how Samantha manages it - but I love every story that comes from this world.

London and Sterling were sweet, sexy, playful and absolutely what I needed to get out of my post Christmas funk.

I really enjoyed this book, and considering I binged this series up until this book in like a week I am nowhere near sick of it and that is quite impressive for me.

Very easy read and very heartwarming story, something I also really enjoy is how [a:Samantha Whiskey|15294531|Samantha Whiskey|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1467861162p2/15294531.jpg] sets up her next couple in the book so you know is coming next :)

This was a pretty good love/lust at first site, he falls first type of romance. We know from the previous book (Cannon) that Sterling's father is a famous Russian hockey player and he has a tense relationship with not only his dad, but his siblings (well he really had no relationship with his siblings). So he is crazy jealous of London's relationship with his brother (who is friends with her brother). I loved that Sterling was helping London with her claustrophobia and he really seemed so patient with her. I wish that these two talked a bit more because they both had big feelings that they really didn't understand and had they talked I think a lot of their problems could have been resolved.

Also, if London was going to Sterling's place in Reaper village (two doors down from Maxim) how did no one clue in she was there ever?

Introducing five or six brand new characters in one book is confusing as hell. I had a really hard time tracking who was who.

Also, call them by one name and stick with it. The back and forth from calling someone by their first name then in the next chapter it’s only by their last name is confusing. I don’t want to have a spreadsheet open with names in it.

Ohhh I MUST admit, a romance with the backdrop of heavy family secrets and brothers who hate each other ... I CAN NOT WAIT <3

We got a glimpse of Sterling's past in the book with Cannon and I was very intrigued to find out what had happened ...
And I was not disappointed (even if there is still plenty of stuff that we don't know !!) Again I wanted to slap the heroine at around 70% (seriously, how could she have believed that he had to do something like that !!) but otherwise, I devoured all the romance that made me melt but also laugh =D

In short, a light and sexy romance that shows us glimpses of a new generation of hockey players that I can not wait to discover (Briggs and Maxim in particular) (even if it feels weird to say goodbye to the old generation who remain my favorites ><)

PS: I WANT A BOOK WITH SILAS !!!

well, that three year time jump came out of nowhere, didn’t it? also, what’s up with sterling’s trade, because that also came out of nowhere

i didn’t really understand the timeline in this book, nor the fact that some facts where just incorrect compared to the previous books

also, more than a sterling and london book this felt more like a sterling versus his brother book

anyway, i knew this wasn’t going to top cannon, but i was expecting better than this, to be honest
