Un po' sottotono rispetto al primo, ma in realtà me l'aspettavo, il secondo libro di una saga raramente mi entusiasma.

There's something so enjoyable about reading this novel, both for the sake of nostalgia but also because its such a fun adventure story. I love Colfer's lighthearted humour and fantastical imagery, plotline and memorable characters.

2020 - I re-read this book following the awful Disney film. I loved it so much. It was great to see Koboi's introduction again and see how each of the main characters develop following the events of the first book. Only three parts of this book were used in the film - Koboi being the villain, Artemis' father being kidnapped and the scene with Artemis and the school psychologist at the start.

Not a bad book. Was hoping that Artemis would be a bit more evil. But that is just me. Found the book entertaining though.

I'm really enjoying this series. This is a great book that sparks the imagination and leaves you wondering how Artemis will scheme through the obstacles jeopardizing his plans. I especially enjoyed the growing friendships between the characters (compared to the hostile relations in the first book). And I loved the return of Mulch Diggums, he's by far my favorite character.
