This book is a commentary on the 12 steps and comparison to teaching of the bible and Jesus. It is truly inspiring and opens your eyes to the state of our addiction(s) and what is truly the state of our belief and spirituality. The premise is that we are all addicts, especially to our „stinking thinking“.

Worth it for the chapter on the 12th step. Which I thought was excellent.

Richard Rohr is my hero. I loved this book. It was gritty, honest, compassionate, realistic, and accessible. It shed light in the dark places without being at all shaming or condemning.

12 steps are not just for alcoholics

This wonderful insight into the AA 12 step program reveals that its endearing wisdom is not just for the chemically dependent-The 12 steps can offer all of us a way to live more deeply with our own Higher Power. Also, if you love the wisdom of Richard Rohr, this book is another opportunity to glean his unique way of at scripture and Christianity.
