A painful, inspiring story. I am repulsed by the failings of the American justice system. Ray Hinton's ability to forgive and continue to see the best in people is beyond impressive.

This book was very rough to read but also really good. I learned so much about the Justice system and death row. I will say my opinion very much changed on death row after I read this. Ray was very much positive and did his best to keep hope of getting off of death row. While the story is sad and frustrating with how he ended up in jail, it also had some inspirational parts as well.

A devastating true story that reads like fiction. The state of Alabama truly failed Ray.
Ray put his whole heart and soul into this book and it's messages. I'm glad to have read this, and it's challenged my beliefs. Even though I cried through many pages, I still consider this book inspirational.
