A Short story set during Bond's return from Mexico with his Aunt that was a good addition to the Young Bond books. Full of information about the characters from all of the Higson Young Bond Books along with information about the real locations, cars, weapons, etc. that the author used in his stories. I enjoyed the Higson Young Bond books and their pre-war setting as well as the author using the Bond Obituary from the Fleming books as a starting point for the action in these books. A worthy addition to the stories written by Higson, offering an explanation of the settings and thoughts of the times, particularly useful for a younger reader not as familiar with the time between the two world wars.

Agh such a good companion to the Young Bond series! Very interesting and easy to read. Loved the short story at the beginning, just what I needed to help fill the hole left by the end of Charlie's Young Bond. My only issue is whether it belongs on my non-fiction Goodreads shelf or not...
