Ich konnte Teil eins und Teil zwei nicht recht zusammenbringen. Trotzdem war es eine spannende Reise durch die Beziehungskonstellation(en); und den postsowjetischen Kaukasus.

Ich merke, ich lese sehr gerne von osteuropäischen Autor:innen über Länder wie Georgien, Aserbaidschan etc. da ich einfach sehr wenig darüber weiß. Das Buch fasst viel “Alltäglichkeit” ein, und man kann sich sehr viel von dem vorstellen, was sie beschreibt.
Von den drei Hauptcharakteren mochte ich nur Altay, wobei ich auch da nicht wirklich das Gefühl hatte, ihn zu verstehen oder kennenzulernen.
Bei den zwei Frauen fehlte mir irgendwie jegliche Tiefe der Geschichte und sie waren mehr ein Nebeneffekt der Erzählung, was womöglich auch an dem Schreibstil lag.
Es war gut zu lesen, aber unspektakulär.

Hab das Buch wirklich schnell gelesen und es hat mich auch gepackt. Aber dennoch hat mir irgendwas gefehlt und fühlte sich die Geschichte nicht komplett rund für mich an. Vielleicht war es der plakative Stil, (der mich zwar sehr ansprach, aber) der mich manchmal etwas zu ratlos und rätselnd zurück gelassen hat... Pluspunkte für die Szenen in Aserbaidschan und Georgien!
