This was cute. Just a collection of creatures encountered with references back to other Lumberjane adventures. I definitely think you wouldn't really appreciate this without having read the comics, but that's the audience it's created for, so it makes sense.

A bestiary based on the creatures of the Lumberjanes comic series. Is it a cash in to sell more books? Yeah, looks that way. Is it a good read? It is mildly entertaining. Not a must-read, but also not a do-not-read.
