It was a cute book. I liked how Addie was so determined to save her sister.

I quite enjoyed this book. After giving a brief explanation of the plot to my roomie, she asked, "Isn't it a bummer that it's about the boring princess?"

But it's not. Princess Addie has more room for character development, and is therefore easier for me to like.

This book has a spectacular ending, which I think is one of Levine's strongest points (that, and her ability to capture a person with a tale. Might I recommend [b:Ella Enchanted|24337|Ella Enchanted|Gail Carson Levine|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1167521378s/24337.jpg|2485462] to ANYONE who hasn't read it??) The ending while not being completely sad, brought me quite close to tears.

If you are a kid that loves to dream then this is the book to read. It contains magic, love, but also fighting. Any girl (and boy who reads this) can find both sisters in themselves. Everyone can find the courageous and outgoing Meryl and the softspoken, dutiful Addie in them.

A great book with detail and good plot line. A childhood favorite of mine and will love to read over and over for a good adventure.

I really liked this, I just wish it was longer! I wanted to see more of the world, and to have side characters, especially Rhys (who I adored), fleshed out more. It felt a bit abrupt and left me wishing I could have immersed myself more in the world and characters. Highly recommended.

This was my favorite book as a child. I wanted to reread it as an adult to see if it still had the magic I remembered. It absolutely did! Such a beautiful story. Thank you for uplifting and empowering shy girls to experience adventures of their own.
