I feel like the main character, Sadie, was so much stronger mentally and physically in this book. I enjoyed reading her more, and it was really nice to see how supportive Pete was to her. Sadie can be very misunderstood and I feel like Pete ::finally:: "gets" her now. :)

I loved the place where the story took place! Made me totally want to go to the balloon festival in NM and track down some delish tres leches cupcakes (I've never had them and I want to try them so bad!).

The plot was very cool and not predictable and had many layers. I loved this.

This was one of my very favorites of the entire series! :)

I'd like to see something happen with the running back story of Sadie's life.

Another fun addition to the Sadie Hoffmiller culinary series. It's really a light, fluffy read mostly, even as a murder mystery, but I think the author does a great job creating the "who done it." She even brought back a detail that bothered me earlier in the book and tied it in at the ending, though she did leave a few details hanging at the end (how Margo got the artifact, where Margo and Langley are, etc.). The recipes included made my mouth water and I really wished I'd had some dulce de leche on hand to make Sadie's dulce de leche bars! It sounds like the problem with Jane from Pumpkin Roll won't be resolved until the very last book of the series, but I look forward to Baked Alaska (which, from the preview chapter at the end of this book, takes place on a cruise ship and appears to revolve around her son Shawn).

Content: Clean, even the action and violence.

I'm thinking those cupcakes sound yummy, can't wait to make them. Oh yeah, and I liked the book too.

I liked it. It is interesting how many problems Sadie gets herself into.
