This saga is getting so interesting. I’m really loving Michael’s world building and the book was so exciting I couldn’t stop reading/listening.

Great read and a great continuation from the first book. I really enjoyed the pacing of this book I didn't feel like it ever really lagged. It's an easy read that kept me entertained from start to finish. I can see why the author says this is his favorite book in the series.

My only real critique is the parts with the dwarves felt like it HEAVILY borrowed from Lord of the Rings which was a bit of a turn off.

Loved it! Maybe more of a 4 star rating without the knowledge of the original Riyria series. Still a great story made even better with hints of Easter eggs and references.

Thousands of years of human evolution in the span of a year, combined with really, really, really bad etymology ("arrow"). It's noticeable that the author had fun, at least, and the story is still interesting.
